An obedience instructor's bible! July 16, 2000 K9rotehexe (Traverse City, MI) 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
I have been teaching obedience for many years. This book really opens up a whole new world for you. The book is very detailed, descriptive, and written for everyone. A real must have in every dog owners home!
The best handbook ever for trainers! March 19, 1998 done@tyler.net (Tyler, Texas) 25 out of 25 found this review helpful
Dr. Volhard & Ms. Fisher have once again collaborated on a useful, motivational, and entertaining handbook for dog obedience. This time they focus on the instructor. They give detailed advise on the hows and whys of taking a group of handlers through a successful session. The fundamental point of the handbook is that training a dog is one thing - but, teaching a class how to train their dogs is quite different. Remarkably well written and entertaining: a MUST for all training directors and should be in all dog club and dog school libraries.
